In the dense forests of the Eastern Himalayas, moths are whispering something to us. In the dark of the night, two curious observers shine a light on this secret universe. Together, they are on an expedition to decode these nocturnal creatures in a remote ecological “hot spot” in Arunachal Pradesh. It is an immersive film that transports audiences to a rarely-seen place and urges us to look more closely at our interconnectedness with the natural world.
Nocturnes won the World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Craft at Sundance – a massive boost not only for its directors but also for their peers seeking international recognition for projects set in India.
The film is co-directed by Anirban Dutta and Anupama Srinivasan.

About Cinema House
Cinema House, a collective film viewing series, creates opportunities to celebrate independent films. Every month, our black box theatre transforms into a single-screen theatre dedicated to independent, regional, and contemporary world cinema accompanied by conversations with cast, crew, and audiences.
Instructions:

3. No Late Entries will be allowed. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time of the program.
4. When attending a program at the G5A warehouse, attendees agree to be photographed/videographed/recorded for promotional use by organizers through both print and electronic media channels.
5. Please note that the information in the schedule is subject to change in case of unforeseen events.
6. We request you to bring warm clothes as it gets chilly inside the black box as temperatures need to be controlled at optimum levels as per technical requirements.
7. Food, beverages and water are strictly prohibited inside the black box. Please do not carry them in your bags either.
8. Students must present a valid college ID at the box office. If a student ID card cannot be presented, the Regular Pass price of INR 249 will apply. This category of pass is only valid for students aged 21 and below.
