An oasis for community that is safe and empowering
Physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, along with accessibility, livability, and safety and security, are all vital components of a thriving neighborhood and metropolis. It begins with each of us developing a sense of belonging, ownership and accountability towards our neighborhood, and supporting the work of the local municipal bodies and civic departments.
G5A’s vision is to “build a culturally vibrant society that enables dignity for all in a city that works”.
The arts have always been a critical medium for introspection, expression and giving voice to the marginalized. We at G5A strongly believe in the potential of the arts to positively impact individual lives, as well as build cohesive, responsible and vibrant communities.
It is with this vision that we began a series of programs as an integral part of our ongoing civic engagement program in the G South ward and Worli Koliwada.
The programs will follow a multi-pronged approach, with interventions taking place at the community centre – Kalawadi – premises in the Koliwada.
