Annie Zaidi

Annie Zaidi is the author of Bread, Cement, Cactus: A memoir of belonging and dislocation, Prelude to a Riot, Gulab, Love Stories # 1 to 14, and Known Turf: Bantering with Bandits and Other True Tales, and the editor of Unbound: 2000 Years of Indian Women’s Writing. She received the Nine Dots Prize in 2019 for innovative thinking and The Hindu Playwright Award in 2018 for her play, Untitled 1. Her work has appeared in various anthologies and literary magazines including The Griffith Review, The Aleph Review, The Massachusetts Review, The Charles River Journal, The Missing Slate and Out of Print.
