Saumya Shukla

Saumya is a visual artist/designer whose work involves building visual narratives around people, experiences, nostalgia, dreams and nightmares. Music has been a huge source of inspiration behind a lot of what she creates.  Saumya’s art practice revolves around constantly experimenting with a combination of digital and traditional media, alongside a growing interest in public art. Surrealism with an underlying tone of minimalism is my usual language, while also exploring newer ways of giving voice to her work.  Saumya often finds herself making illustrations and books for children. 

She likes creating because above everything, art has saved all of humanity amidst the unexplainable mayhem around our civilization. And believes art will continue to save us all.
