Indie Music Thursdays #05 | ALIF: Poetry Music Performance

The Indie Music scene today is extremely vibrant and innovative and so we’re very excited to be dedicating one day every month that will feature a strong line-up of acts both Indian and International.

ALIF returns to G5A with an intimate & interactive set of poetry and music, celebrating darkness resilience and satire. An experience that shall stay with you creating a series of emotions. Poet, singer and songwriter Mohammad Muneem began his musical journey from Kashmir in 2008 and co-founded ALIF two years later with Hardik Vaghela (Keys). Metaphorically Alif, the first alphabet of Urdu meaning ‘that which is unseen, strongly united’ and ‘the oneness of everything’ encompasses his music/poetry. With some beautiful verses in Kashmiri and Urdu and a unique contemporary ethnic sound, their music is soul-stirring and celebrates darkness and pain through poetry. With Aman Moroney (Guitars, Esraj), Karan Chitra Deshmukh (Drums) & Amit Gadgil (Bass).

Join us for this monthly series, with a new artist line-up at Indie Music Thursdays!
