Shalaka and Rutuja take the audiences through an unhurried listening experience of morning raags performed in the Jaipur Atrauli gharana of Hindustani Classical music. Interspersing their singing through conversations, they draw the listeners in to notice the nuances and celebrate the pauses. They further explore the nirgun (formless) songs of Kabir with poetry that is as evocative as it is grounding.
The concert will begin with two morning raags, and after a Khyaal focused start to the concert, they will together explore the Nirgun bhajans by Kabir.
