Morning Riyaaz features younger, contemporary and thinking musicians and offers an opportunity to experience the music as an insider. The series enable audiences to be a part of the personal investment, creative processes and special relationships to their material and lineage that individual musicians pursue and develop in strikingly diverse ways. This is a rare experience in which the musicians allow us into their inner chambers, an almost private, secluded space of thought, communion and practice.
Radhika Joshi is an accomplished artist in the field of Hindustani classical music, hailing from the prestigious Jaipur Atrauli Gharana. Under the guidance of Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar, a disciple of the legendary Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar, Radhika has diligently honed her vocal prowess. Her musical journey also led her to explore semi-classical forms such as Thurmi, Kajri, Hori, and Dadra, under the esteemed Padmabhushan Smt. Girija Devi at the Sangeet Research Academy, Kolkata.
