cityLAB is G5A’s community outreach initiative, dedicated to collaboratively designing a model for an inclusive, participatory and equitable neighborhood and city governance that is sustainable, scalable and replicable.
As a facilitator and catalyst, cityLAB is working within G South Ward, the geographical precinct in central Mumbai.
The ward serves both as an urban laboratory and an incubator to conceive and co-create ideas and ground-up processes along with different agencies to reconnect individuals, empower communities, enable livelihoods and build a more livable, resilient and a creative neighborhood and city.
Arts are integral and embedded in all our initiatives and efforts, so as to enable a safe space for expression, exploration, identity and skilling.
We believe that it is only through an immersion in the arts that we can truly connect with our individual purpose and yet come together, in a thoughtful and collaborative way; and work towards a sustainable cultural transformation.
We hope you will find a reason to join us on this journey!
