The film is the result of seven years of documentation of the lives of the street people of old Delhi – beggars, pickpockets, loaders,
small scale factory workers, street singers, street vendors etc.
Working with a non-linear fashion, the film moves like homeless and migrant communities from minute to minute changing its space and structure with every on going event.
There is no one story but several stories.
Dreams and stories mix together to form an exciting magical realism. We do not have the comfortable structure of saturated and complacent lives but have tried to tread with people who don’t know what’s happening next.
Anamika Haksar’s debut feature film, which was described as a ‘masterpiece of contemporary Indian cinema’ by Kinoscope, released in 2022 in select theatres and was the only Indie film screened for 56 days.
A revelation in itself, the film has been receiving love and accolades globally. Some of the honors bestowed on the film include:
- International Critics Jury Award by International Jury Federation of Film Critics
