The Lunchbox by Ritesh Batra | Irrfan (1967 – 2020) : A Retrospective

250.00

Out of stock

‘Sometimes the wrong train will take you to the right station’

The Lunchbox builds on the rare mix-up in the disciplined delivery system of the famous dabbawalas in Mumbai. Ila tries to use the way of the stomach to reinstill romance into her married life. One fortunate day the lunch that she so lovingly prepares for her spouse gets delivered to Saajan, a soon-to-be retiring accountant. What follows is a series of letter exchanges that reveals a kindred life of loneliness, grief and desires which have never been put into words.

Post screening, Prathyush Parasuraman will be in conversation with Ritesh Batra, Nimrat Kaur, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Guneet Monga and Karan Johar.

Irrfan (1967-202): A Retrospective

Irrfan : the actor whose face penned a million stories!

January’s Cinema House is a celebration and exploration of the actor’s malleable artistry –charted through three chapters: films of his early years, films that re-defined the idea of love, and films that featured his breakout roles.
