A Junkyard Wonder by Ananya Sharma | G5A Warehouse Performance Grant
Hailing from Mumbai, Ananya Sharma is a singer, composer and producer whose musical background combines formal training in Western styles of music, with cultural exposure to Indian music growing up. As a result, she is a versatile storyteller who is passionate towards creating music that celebrates her cross-cultural influences.
A Junkyard Wonder at G5A is a specially curated, sit down, live music experience, featuring a 10- piece ensemble performance of original music from Ananya’s upcoming debut LP called ‘A Junkyard Wonder’, that blends influences of contemporary folk with electro- acoustic and chamber pop soundscapes accompanied by lyrical storytelling.
The lineup for this show will include:
Sanjay Divecha, Anurag Naidu, Shashank Das, Shivang Kapadia, Shirish Malhotra, Sarah Cave, Gauri Khanna, Brecilla D’souza and Mallika Barot.
The G5A Warehouse Performance Grant enables independent performance artists and practitioners to showcase their work at the G5A warehouse. Taking another step towards our belief in creating a culturally vibrant society that enables dignity for all, the performance grant was born out of our commitment to nurturing creativity, excellence, and resilience with a focus on non-mainstream cultural practitioners.

- We request you to bring warm clothes as it gets chilly inside the black box as temperatures need to be controlled at optimum levels as per technical requirements.
- Food, beverages and water are strictly prohibited inside the black box. Please do not carry them in your bags either.
