The Streetscape Toolkit is an inclusive, participatory, multi-layered, and fun approach that works towards re-imagining the gaothan’s streetscape. This toolkit is designed along with the local residents to aid them in creating a cohesive neighborhood through aesthetically chosen elements for painting.
Interactive workshops with the residents explore and reveal stories, associations, and usage patterns, which forms the material from which the toolkit is created.
With an earthy yet eclectic palette, inspired from the Gaothan, the Toolkit offers the possibility of multiple combinations of colors, textures, motifs, and architectural elements coming together, simultaneously inspiring personalized expression yet building collective, neighborhood harmony, and cohesion.
