What question do you keep coming back to in your arts practice?
“Am I being true to the context in which I am creating my work. Is it rooted in the here and now? For me I never want to create work which is oblivious and tone deaf to the world in which it exist. This is not an easy thing to do and I am making mistakes, but I try to keep myself in check.”
What discipline, other than your own, do you draw most from?
“So many things – cinema, writing, dance – essentially any medium that tells a story and tells it well.”
How does your arts practice allow you to respond creatively to conflict/crisis around you?
“In this current environment, this is something that I have been thinking about a lot. And what with all that is going on, I do not have an answer – but this is something that is playing on loop in my mind.”
