I use code to move around words and make short video loops of concrete poetry.
The placement of words and their inherent meaning come together to deliver a point. To me, a poem is a party where words come together, move apart, and meaning is revealed through this dance.
The choice to use code as a medium comes naturally. It allows me to experiment quickly and iteratively and allows me to make mistakes. Using code is also a way for me to separate the process of writing it with ideas of productivity and efficiency, and turning it into an exercise which is done for the medium itself – like painting.
