Paan Singh Tomar by Tigmanshu Dhulia | Irrfan (1967 – 2020) : A Retrospective

When a celebrated athlete is failed by the unjust systems of the society, Paan Singh Tomar decided to rebel and become a dacoit in the infamous Chambal Valley. The fight for one’s right leads the dacoit on a path of violence, murder and killing which ultimately leads to his own doom.

The screening will begin with a book reading of Aur Kuchh Panne Kore Rah Gaye : Irrfan by Ajay Brahmatmaj. Post- screening Ajay Brahmatmaj will be in conversation with Tigmanshu Dhulia, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Brijendra Kala.

January’s Cinema House is a celebration and exploration of the actor’s malleable artistry –charted through three chapters: films of his early years, films that re-defined the idea of love, and films that featured his breakout roles.
