Raag Badhat

For a strong foundational structure, each brick must be set with utmost attention and care. The basis of traditional Indian music is a raag, which is a structured combination of notes, swara (solfa syllables), or swaragram, on which the melody is based, and is so intense that it can rouse in both the listener and the singer, a well-defined emotion or feeling.
In this session of Morning Riyaaz Dhanashri Ghaisas shares with us her approach towards building a raag structure imbibed through the taleem she has received.
