Video Exploration by Bouthayna Al-Muftah
Echoes is a prolongation of Al-Muftah’s ongoing research on the archiving of memories and stories that she artistically documents. Al-Muftah interrogates the process of recollection of Qatari cultural memory in the context of the present culture. In this experiment, she re-visualizes a traditional game where she distinctively reflects on the rapid social and cultural changes that have taken place in her surroundings in a short period of time.
